HSOS Industrial Services - Special Pipe Freeze

For a big Refinery in Rotterdam HSOS Industrial Services was invited to execute 4x Pipe Freezes at the same time on 2x 8"-pipelines. Unfortunately we weren't able to execute this job in a 'normal' way because the 2x pipelines were to close together to fit 'normal' jackets. On top of that we also had to deal with organic growth inside the lines (HSOS already proven the possibilities during a demo/test in January 2019).

Thanks to our Leak Sealing & Engineering - team, we managed to come up with a "first ever" Customized Double Pipe Freeze Jacket! And because of the high risks, our customer decided to install 2x Double Pipe Freeze Jackets, 1 for the freeze and 1 as a sacrificial plug.

In between the 2x Double Jackets, our Hottap - team was also involved to execute hottaps, which were needed to install safety measures: a manometer, a pressure relief point/drainage tap and a Pressure Relief Valve.

Our Pipe Freeze expert and 3 operators executed the 'double Freeze' in a safe, controlled and professional way.
